Donovan Smith have the latest technology to help you on your frame styling journey from end to end. As well as our fantastic team, we have invested in the Carl Zeiss Visufit 1000. This incredible piece of equipment allows precise measurements to be obtained by using nine cameras which are able to create a 180 degree view of your head/face. The camera shot is then used to analyse your ocular measurements by processing around 45 million separate points! The Visufit is able to help correct unnatural posture which is paramount when measuring for varifocal lenses, and it also creates a Personal Avatar. The machine analyses face shape, skin, eye and hair colour to create an avatar which you are then able to view on our computers or iPads. This platform helps our patients compare frames, especially for those with high prescriptions. After all, patients rarely see themselves from all sides when buying glasses. This function is also extremely helpful for patients to envisage how a particular tint will look in a frame.
